Don't Buy Best Buy

Making a purchase soon? TV or anything else electronic?  Before you buy Best Buy look close at their return policy.  15 days and that's it.  They won't even listen to you.  I was buying a tv I wanted before the Super Bowl and I was in Best Buy before Christmas.  I was told not to worry about the 15 day policy that they would extend it til the end of January.  This is the time to buy.  Found it on January 20th at their store $100 cheaper.  They would not look at my receipt and told me the kid who sold me the tv flat out lied and they don't care about my business.  I took this as a $100 lesson and went to Costco to look at tv,s for the bedroom.  They told me their return policy is 90 days for any reason.  I'm still shopping but I'm done with Best Buy.

Congratulations also go out to Stephanie Noland, who is our new Associate Buyer! Stephanie has been with the Merchandising team for just a few weeks, mostly helping to fill some resource gaps on Julie’s and Mike’s teams.  Prior to joining Maritz, Stephanie was a Sales Lead at Ann Taylor, where she managed a sales team of 20 associates.  She has over 6 years of buying experience as well.  She was a Planning Specialist at Brown Shoe Company and a Senior Assistant Buyer at Dillard’s.  In a very short time, Stephanie has proven herself to be a team player and a quick study.  She possesses that rare blend of creativity and analytical thinking.  Stephanie will also report to Jeanne.  For the time being, Stephanie will continue to manage Butch’s custom, client work while she transitions into the buying role.  We will let everyone know once a final transition plan is in place.
